Jhansi: Additional district and sessions judge Sunil Kumar Yadav sentenced a 30-year-old history-sheeter to ten years rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1.35 lakh in a case of attempt to murder here on Wednesday. The incident involved election rivalry between two persons.According to ADGC Tej Singh Gaur, the court while pronouncing the judgment also noted that looking into the past notorious records of the accused, the nature of imprisonment should be severe enough to create an example in the society against such criminals.There were three more accused of which one died during the court proceedings while two others were set free due to lack of evidence.The incident happened on the night of June 15, 2020. The victim Govind Singh (50) of village Burawali, falling under Moth police station, was returning after attending a marriage when all the four accused armed with guns attacked him.Judge Sunil Kumar Yadav on Wednesday while pronouncing the judgment also ordered to give Rs one lakh out of the fine amount to the victim. tnn
