Initial investigation indicated that the victim had been attacked with a sharp-edged weapon, police said

Gurgaon: A 33-year-old man was found dead with multiple injuries near a hospital on Old Delhi Road near Dundahera on Monday evening. His family has named two of his friends as suspects in the killing.Police found Harijeet Kumar, a resident of Dundahera village, in a pool of blood after receiving information from residents. He had injuries on his face, chest and stomach. Teams from Udyog Vihar police station, the forensic science laboratory and the crime scene unit reached the spot and examined the scene. Initial investigation indicated that Kumar had been attacked with a sharp-edged weapon, police said.According to his family, Kumar had told them on Monday morning that he was going somewhere with the two men they later named as suspects. Police are now searching for the two men and questioning people who may have information about the incident.The family also told police that Kumar had struggled with drug addiction and had been admitted to a de-addiction centre in Delhi several times. He had returned from the centre about six months ago.A murder case under Section 103 of BNS has been registered at Udyog Vihar police station. Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the killing and are working to establish the sequence of events and identify those responsible.Kumar’s body was handed over to his family after autopsy, police said.
