Ranchi: Police have registered a case against Alim Ansari for allegedly abusing PM Narendra Modi, Union home minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath in a social media video and threatening Ranchi MLA Navin Jaiswal.The FIR was lodged at Nagri police station in Ranchi district under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita following a complaint filed by BJP functionary Ritesh Raj Mahto. The complainant also accused Ansari of attempting to hurt religious sentiments and disrupt communal harmony through the video.DSP Ajay Aryan confirmed the registration of the case and said an investigation was under way. Further action would be taken based on the evidence collected and legal scrutiny, police said.
