The campaign seeks to make free legal aid and legal awareness easily accessible to citizens

Ramgarh: A legal awareness programme was organised at Pindra village in Mandu block on Friday as part of the ongoing “Justice Circuit” campaign.It was held on the directives of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), New Delhi, by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). The campaign seeks to make free legal aid and legal awareness easily accessible to citizens. Villagers were informed about their legal rights and duties, free legal aid services and ways to access justice through appropriate forums.The programme was held under the guidance of principal district and sessions judge-cum-DLSA chairperson Md Taufiqul Hassan and DLSA secretary Anil Kumar.LADC assistant Mohan Mahto explained legal provisions and govt legal aid schemes. He said economically weaker and needy people could obtain free legal assistance through DLSA. Participants were briefed on the rights of women, children and deprived sections, along with facilities for resolving problems.DLSA urged residents to remain vigilant about their rights, approach the legal forum and help spread legal awareness among villagers. It said it is working to ensure access to justice for the last person in society and promote legal literacy as well.Para-legal volunteers Vinod Kumar Mahto, Ajay Prajapati, Mukesh Bhai Patel, Niranjan Kumar and Vimal Ram attended.
