A 45-year-old Kota man was found shot dead in his car parked on national highway near a private engineering college in Bundi district on Tuesday. Police identified him as Mohammad Yaqin, a resident of Vigyan Nagar.According to the police, the victim worked in car repair services in Kota. He had gone missing Monday after telling his family members that he was heading towards Dabi. Relatives had reportedly been searching for him since then.Initial investigations revealed that the attacker targeted the victim from the front of the vehicle. The bullet shattered the front windshield and struck Yaqin near the left side of his collarbone/chest area while he was still in the driver’s seat, causing him to die on the spot.Senior officials, including SP Avanish Kumar, DSP Ganga Sahay, and Talera Police Station In-charge (SHO) Mukesh Yadav, arrived to inspect the scene. Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and Mobile Forensic Unit (MOB) teams were called to gather physical evidence from the vehicle and the surrounding area.Sharing details about the incident, Talera Police Station In-charge Mukesh Yadav said the victim’s car was found parked along the highway near Vedanta College. Yadav added that a murder case has been officially registered against unknown perpetrators at Talera Police Station, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem.Police are currently probing all possible angles to identify the culprits and establish the motive behind the murder.
