Sukumar, was forced to make a hasty retreat after being confronted with sharp questions by young women during a campaign at the Kannampalayam weekly market on Saturday.The incident, captured on camera by bystanders, has gone viral on social media, sparking a heated debate over the party’s leadership and internal discipline.Sukumar was actively canvassing for votes at the crowded market, distributing pamphlets and promising that, under TVK leader Vijay‘s leadership, women’s safety and public welfare would be top priorities.However, the narrative quickly shifted when he approached a vegetable stall run by a group of women.One of the women asked the candidate, ‘There are constant reports that your leader, Vijay, does not meet or speak with his own family members. How can you believe that someone who does not look after his own blood relations will protect the people of Tamil Nadu?’She further said, ‘Younger members of your party frequently use derogatory and foul language against senior leaders of other political parties. Why hasn’t your leader condemned this? What action has he taken against those who behave this way?’Another woman standing nearby said that Vijay was in no way better than Vijayakanth, who had done a great deal for the people. She added that although Vijayakanth had done many good things for the public, people did not give him power.
