Tirupur: DMK’s youngest candidate Dr V Kokilamani administered first aid for an elderly man who collapsed during her campaign in Avinashi constituency in Tirupur on Sunday.Kokilamani who is contesting from Avinashi, campaigned in several areas within the Avinashi constituency, including Kottakkadu, Thekkalur bus stop, Erippalayam, Kamanayakkanpalayam, Vellandipalayam, Samathuvapuram, Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, and Aasiriyar Colony on Sunday. During a campaign rally at Samathuvapuram in Thekkalur, an elderly man who had come to see her, fainted and collapsed suddenly. On noticing this incident, Kokilamani, a doctor by profession, paused her rally and swiftly checked on the man. After observation she revealed that he had fainted due to low blood pressure.She then personally arranged for an ambulance for the elderly man to be transported to the Avinashi Government Hospital.A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media platforms.
