Margao: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal, at an election rally at Ponda on Wednesday, accused BJP govt of failing to provide even the most basic services to the people of Ponda.“Typically, before elections, govts ensure road repairs, clean drains, and improved electricity and water supply, but even these basic measures were not taken in Ponda,” Kejriwal said. He further said that people of Panditwada in Ponda get water infested with worms and challenged chief minister Pramod Sawant to drink a glass of it. If AAP comes to office, clean drinking water is guaranteed, he said.He accused BJP of turning the temple town into a garbage dump. “I could find garbage dumped along both sides of the road. People from across the country come to visit the temples in Ponda, and this garbage is what they are forced to see,” Kejriwal said. He said there would be zero electricity bills if AAP comes to office. On the Curchorem sex scandal case, Kejriwal said that while attempts were made by BJP to shield the accused, BJP state president Damodar Naik chose to sympathise with the accused’s father. Kejriwal urged the people of Ponda to reject both BJP and Congress and “choose honest, work-driven politics for real change”.
