Jaisalmer: A jeep with tourists from Nashik overturned during desert safari on Sam dunes Tuesday, leading to a woman’s death while three others were injured. The injured are being treated in Jawahir Hospital. The driver was driving recklessly at high speed, resulting in the vehicle losing control. The driver fled from the spot and a search is on for him. ASI Oma Ram Vishnoi from Sam police station said that a group of 40 domestic tourists from Nashik arrived in Jaisalmer tuesday. They visited Sam dunes to witness the sunset and camel safari before heading to their hotel in Jaisalmer. During their visit, the tourists embarked on a jeep safari at Laxmana dunes. While driving at high speed, one jeep lost control and overturned, trapping several women underneath. Asha Nevra (62), died on the spot. TNn
