Jaipur: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) project works committee greenlit a series of vital infrastructure and development initiatives aimed at bolstering traffic management and enhancing civic facilities in the city Friday.Among the highlights, the committee allocated Rs 6 crore for the detailed project report (DPR) of an elevated traffic corridor along the Dravyavati River, a project designed to alleviate traffic congestion and boost mobility within the city. In connection with this, the construction of box culverts at four key locations across the river received approval, with a budget of Rs 16 crore.To further enhance traffic management, the committee granted post-facto approvals amounting to Rs 12 crore for an at-grade U-turn facility on Hare Krishna Marg (Mahal Road) in Zone-9. Additionally, road construction in the remaining sections of the Loha Mandi scheme in Zone-6 was sanctioned with Rs 6 crore.The JDA also approved a proposal to create a modern sports complex along the Dravyavati River, with an estimated investment of Rs 7 crore. The planning for an outdoor stadium for the Rajasthan State Sports Council in the Jaisinghpura Khor area was also greenlit.Further approvals included the establishment of a land pooling scheme for the Tonk Road villages of Shivdaspura, Chandlai, and Barkhera, aimed at facilitating organised development in these regions. Additionally, land was allocated for a sewerage pumping station under the AMRUT 2.0 initiative by the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC). The planning of 4.57 hectares of land between the JDA and RIICO, along with the re-planning of Block-II of the Central Spine scheme, was also authorised.
