Chennai: IndiGo has announced thrice weekly, direct flights between Chennai and Réunion Island, a French overseas territory in the Indian Ocean, from April 29, 2026. The airline will operate its Airbus A320 aircraft on the route. With this, Réunion Island becomes IndiGo’s 46th international destination and its 13th from Chennai – a key gateway in South India. Customers can plan and book their travel through IndiGo’s official website www.goIndiGo.in, mobile app, or authorised travel partners. Located between Madagascar and Mauritius, Réunion Island is renowned for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, UNESCO World Heritage-listed natural sites such as the Piton de la Fournaise, and a vibrant, multi-cultural society shaped by African, European, Indian, and Asian influences.
