Jamshedpur: India and Canada are exploring closer research and technological cooperation in the extraction, recovery and recycling of critical minerals, officials said. Ed Jager, commercial minister at the Canadian High Commission in India, visited the CSIR-National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML) here on Wednesday and held talks with director Sandeep Ghosh Chowdhury and senior scientists. An NML statement said that discussions covered research, technology development, innovation and industrial collaboration in areas of strategic interest to both countries. Jager also toured an exhibition of advanced critical-mineral recovery and recycling technologies, interacted with young researchers and reviewed ongoing projects. NML scientists showcased recent innovations in advanced materials and metal extraction.
