Rs 28cr spent on aircraft upkeep Gandhinagar: The govt spent a sum of Rs 28.95 crore on maintenance of the state govt plane and helicopter from Feb 1, 2025, to Jan 31, 2026, the govt informed the assembly on Monday. In addition, a sum of Rs 15.18 crore was spent during the same period on pilots, and Rs 97.53 crore was spent on other staff expenses, the govt said in reply to a question by Congress MLA Imran Khedawala.

Ankleshwar airport to start operations by 2028 Gandhinagar: In reply to a question in the assembly on Monday, the Gujarat govt said that the proposed airport at Ankleshwar will become operational by the end of 2028. In reply to a question by MLA Ramesh Mistry, the govt said that, as of Dec 31, 2025, the first phase of acquiring 82 hectares of land was ongoing, and levelling of land for the runway, taxiway and other facilities was ongoing.172 ST certificates cancelled in two yearsGandhinagar: The scrutiny committee verifying scheduled tribe (ST) certificates cancelled 79 certificates in 2024 and 93 in 2005. In reply to a question by MLA Anantkumar Patel, the govt said that the highest number of cancelled ST certificates was from the Dungri Ganasiya tribe (34), while 32 certificates from members of the Bhil tribe were cancelled.128 cases of crimes againstscheduled castes in A’bad Gandhinagar: In Gandhinagar, the govt told the assembly in a written reply to Congress MLA Shailesh Parmar that Ahmedabad city recorded seven murder cases involving scheduled caste members, 100 torture cases, and 21 rape cases against SC women in 2025. It added that police had solved all the cases.
