BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 27: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Sujit Kumar, IPS, on Sunday reviewed the security and crime situation in Budgam district during a high-level meeting at the District Police Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by DIG Central Kashmir Range Rajiv Omparkash Pande, IPS, SSP Budgam Hariprasad K K, IPS, and other senior police officers.
During the meeting, the IGP took stock of the overall security scenario, crime prevention measures, investigation of cases and security arrangements across the district.
He directed officers to further strengthen the existing security grid and ensure close coordination among different police formations for an effective response to emerging security and law-and-order challenges.
Kumar also stressed timely investigation of criminal cases and called for appropriate action against those involved in criminal and anti-social activities. He directed officers to intensify preventive measures and maintain heightened vigilance across the district.
The IGP emphasised sustained security measures to ensure peace and safeguard the public, while also calling for improved operational preparedness and coordination among field formations.
SSP Budgam briefed the IGP on the prevailing security and crime situation and apprised him of measures being undertaken to strengthen policing, security arrangements and public safety in the district.
The visit focused on reviewing ground-level preparedness, strengthening the security mechanism and ensuring coordinated policing across Budgam.
