Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday asked IAS officers to honestly assess achievements and shortcomings of the Congress govt so far, and give a proper direction to the govt for its remaining tenure leading up to the assembly elections.“It is the responsibility of all officials to respect the trust shown by the people with good governance,” Revanth said at a review meeting on the 99-day ‘Praja Palana-Pragati Pranalika’ programme.Stating that Telangana received investment commitments worth about Rs 8 lakh crore, he instructed the secretaries of the departments concerned to ensure that these MoUs are grounded. “Telangana’s goals will be met if all these investments are realised. Officials concerned should focus on the development of Future City which will change the economic trajectory of the country,” he said.Data on outsourcing and contract employees should be ready with secretaries, he said, adding that govt offices from the mandal-level to the state-level should not be located in rented buildings in the state. Each department should have its own building, he said, suggesting that these should be included in the budget proposal.
