Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh govt on Tuesday assured that there is no shortage of LPG cylinders in the state, even though only around 60% of the normal allocation of commercial LPG is currently being received. Director of food, civil supplies and consumer affairs, Kumud Singh, chaired a meeting of the state-level monitoring committee, and said that all commercial establishments are being adequately supplied. She informed that 191 gas agencies are operating across the state, ensuring uninterrupted supply of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders. Representatives of oil companies present at the meeting confirmed that petrol and diesel stocks are adequate, with reserves sufficient for up to 15 days, and replenishment is continuing smoothly. Addressing concerns over pending KYC for domestic gas connections, the director directed oil companies to ensure that no consumer is denied LPG supply due to incomplete documentation. She emphasised completing the KYC process in camp mode to avoid inconvenience. Additionally, gas agencies were instructed to notify local authorities in advance about delivery schedules to ensure wider dissemination of information. Oil companies were also asked to facilitate eKYC at designated delivery points.MSID: 129927860 413 |
