Bathinda: A four-day training programme on ‘Empowering Rural Women Through Sustainable Dairy Production’ for Scheduled Caste community was held at College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul. The training aimed to strengthen entrepreneurship skills among rural women and enhance their knowledge of sustainable dairy practices.During the course of training, the trainee women farmers were provided training kits, including training compendium on sustainable dairy production in Punjabi language along with 60-litre-capacity cream separator machines, 10-litre-capacity milk storage containers and other inputs.Twenty women from eight villages of Bathinda district participated in the training programme. Pallavi Khajuria, Course Director, encouraged the participants to effectively utilise the practical knowledge gained during the training to maximise their profits. Kuldip Gupta, Dean, motivated the women farmers to make continuous liaison with the college so as to get benefit from the various facilities available at their doorstep.
