Kanpur: Heavy vehicle traffic diversion from Kanpur Nagar to remain in force during the Shrawan Kanwar yatra period from July 30-Aug 28, with restrictions applied from Saturday, Aug 1, from 8pm till Monday, Aug 3. The diversion will also remain in force from Aug 8-10, Aug 15-17 and from Aug 22-24.Heavy vehicles coming from district Etawah and Auraiya and heading towards Barabanki and Gorakhpur via Unnao and Lucknow will have to go from Ramadevi Chauraha, towards Chaudagra Fatehpur, and proceed via Lalganj Bachhrawa (Raebareli) and Purvanchal Expressway to their destination.Heavy vehicles coming from district Hamirpur and going towards Unnao and Lucknow via Sajeti, Ghatampur and Naubasta will pass through Anupur Mod and proceed via Paras Mod, Jahanabad, Chaudagra, Fatehpur, Lalganj Bachhrawa (Raebareli) and Purvanchal Expressway to their destination.Heavy vehicles coming from Jhansi, Kalpi, Bhognipur and Musanagar and heading towards Unnao and Lucknow via Naubasta will not be allow to go from Ghatampur Chauraha and instead be permitted to go straight via Chaudagra, Fatehpur, Lalganj Bachhrawa (Raebareli) and Purvanchal Expressway to their destination.Heavy vehicles going from Kanpur Nagar, including Shivrajpur, Chaubepur and Bithoor, will not be allowed to go towards district Unnao via Pariyar Pul and instead will go directly via Araul and Lucknow-Agra Expressway to their destination.All citizens are appealed to follow traffic rules.
