Ganderbal, Aug 9: Several development projects have been sanctioned across the Kangan constituency by MLA Kangan Mian Mehar Ali with government healthcare institutions, electricity infrastructure and local connectivity among the key areas covered under the latest works.
MLA Kangan Mehar Ali says the package includes medical equipment for SDH Kangan, MMC Watlar and PHC Wussan, ambulances for health centres at Anderwan and Hari Ganiwan, construction of a new health centre at Chountwilar and a generator for PHC Gund.
At SDH Kangan, ₹16.50 lakh has been allocated for a video endoscope system, while ₹6.50 lakh has been sanctioned for construction of a ticket counter.
MMC Watlar has been provided ₹25 lakh for a Digital X-Ray machine, along with ₹9 lakh for CBC, biochemistry and urine analysers. PHC Wussan will also receive a Digital X-Ray machine under an allocation of ₹25 lakh.
For emergency medical transportation, ₹30 lakh has been sanctioned for a BLS ambulance for PHC Hari Ganiwan, while ₹9.30 lakh has been allocated for an ECO ambulance for Health Centre Anderwan.
The sanctioned infrastructure works also include bridges at Nallah Shutain Gagangair, Satrina and Doga Wangath, along with a number of transformer installations aimed at strengthening electricity supply in different localities.
Among the power works are a 100 KVA transformer at Krishan Chountwilar C, a 100 KVA transformer at Awan Pati Mammar, 63 KVA transformers at Rayil Khowur, Thune, Rayil, Kaniwas Sumbal and Ninhama, and a 200 KVA transformer at Arhama.
In the education and community sector, ₹35 lakh has been sanctioned for a library at Kangan. Funds have also been allocated for playgrounds at Burnbugh, Pethpora Chattergul and Prang, besides development of a public park at Bonpora Haripora.
Canal fencing works have been sanctioned for the Kullan-Sumbal-BR-Ganiwan stretch and the Mammar-Thune area, with allocations of ₹15.50 lakh and ₹25 lakh respectively.
The sanctioned projects span multiple sectors and locations, with the stated works aimed at strengthening public facilities and addressing infrastructure requirements in different parts of the Kangan constituency.
