Hassan: Hassan deputy commissioner KS Latha Kumari on Friday directed officials to ensure smooth, safe and hassle-free darshan during Hasanamba Temple festival from Oct 29 to Nov 11. Inspecting preparations at the temple, she asked officials to facilitate comfortable darshan from the courtyard in front of the sanctum sanctorum, maintain continuous air-conditioning there and improve lighting near the exit.She directed that devotees receive small wooden spoons with prasada and that dustbins be installed at appropriate intervals. A separate counter should be opened outside the temple to receive madalakki offerings. Temporary toilets should be provided at the bus stop and railway station, while more CCTV cameras and new signboards should be installed at Hasanamba and Siddeshwara Swamy temples.She also sought separate rooms for people with disabilities, those aged above 80, mothers with children below one year and their companions.
