Times News NetworkKanpur: HarMilap Mission School collected highest 10 points and won the two-day KSS Inter- School Chess Sub Junior Girls (Class 6 to Class 8) championship which concluded at Shri Ram Public School Kidwai Nagar here on Saturday.Virendra Swarup Education Centre N block Kidwai Nagar stood as runner up with 7 points. Virendra Swarup Education Centre Shyam Nagar too earned 7 points and was declared as third place holder. As many as 100 girl chess players from 20 schools of CBSE Zone-2 appeared in this event.Rakesh Rastogi, manager of the host school, and chief guest Rohit Mohan presented trophies, certificates and medals to the winners and runners ups. Santosh Awasthi, principal of the host school, welcomed the guests and proposed the vote of thanks.Dilip Srivastava, secretary, Kanpur Chess Association, Rupa Shukla, chief arbiter and others were present on this occasion.V Kanisha (VSEC Jajmau), Aarvi Gupta (Mount Litera School Unnao), Pari Pathak (Archies Higher Secondary School), Nishtha Bajpai (UP Kirana), Harshita Maheshwari (DPS Barra were adjudged as the best performers of the championship.
