Varanasi: Thousands of devotees thronged Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham on the first day of the holy month of Shrawan on Thursday for the sacred darshan and jalabhishek of Lord Shri Kashi Vishwanath, as the temple administration put in place extensive arrangements to ensure safe and smooth movement of pilgrims.Since early morning, devotees arrived continuously to offer prayers to Baba Shri Vishweshwar.According to the temple authorities, keeping the convenience and safety of devotees as the highest priority, the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust has ensured comprehensive arrangements across the Dham premises and surrounding areas. Trained personnel have been deployed at all entry and exit points to maintain smooth darshan, while necessary measures have been put in place for queue management and the hassle-free movement of devotees.In view of health and emergency requirements, medical facilities, ambulances, first-aid services, doctors and paramedical staff have been made available within the Dham premises. In addition, arrangements for clean drinking water, glucose, ORS, resting areas and other basic amenities have been ensured at various locations so that devotees do not face any inconvenience.Considering the expected heavy footfall during the month of Shrawan, the temple administration is managing all arrangements through continuous monitoring and coordination. A control room established in the Dham is keeping round-the-clock watch over all facilities, enabling prompt decisions whenever required to further strengthen the arrangements.The Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust has appealed to all devotees to follow the guidelines issued by the administration, maintain patience and discipline, and cooperate in making their visit safe and smooth.
