Varanasi: A man and his 13-year-old son were killed after an uncontrolled speeding cement container truck ran over them and crashed into four roadside houses in the Kalna Gaharwar area under Vindhyachal police station area early Thursday.Mirzapur ASP (City) Nitesh Singh said the accident occurred around 3 am near Kalna Gaharwar when a cement container truck, coming from Prayagraj, went out of control.Shiv Prasad Gupta, 45, of Kalna Gaharwar, along with his son Rohit, 13, was sleeping on a cot when the vehicle ploughed into the house. Shiv Prasad died on the spot, while Rohit sustained grievous injuries. Locals gathered after the loud crash, and police personnel helped remove the debris and secure the damaged stretch before clearing the route for commuters.
