Bokaro: For months, 62-year-old Dulal Haldar of Chas had been making repeated trips to the Chas Circle Office, submitting applications and seeking help for an online land revenue receipt that never arrived. On Friday, his long wait ended within two hours after he raised the matter before deputy commissioner Ajay Nath Jha during the district administration’s ‘Hum Aapko Sunte Hain’ public grievance hearing.Haldar told the DC that despite several visits and multiple applications, his grievance had remained unresolved. Taking prompt cognisance of the complaint, Jha said, “I directed the concerned officials to take immediate action. Following intervention, the online land revenue receipt for Haldar’s land was issued within just two hours.”The swift action brought major relief to Haldar, who had faced difficulties for a prolonged period while trying to access a basic govt service. Jha said the ‘Hum Aapko Sunte Hain’ initiative is designed to ensure timely resolution of public grievances and easier access to services.Complaints received during the hearings are forwarded to officials concerned with directions to act within a stipulated time frame, reducing unnecessary visits to govt offices and ensuring prompt disposal of grievances.
