Hyderabad: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has said the state govt will resolve Sadabainama applications, which are pending since 2020.Responding to a question from MLC Nellikanti Satyam, the minister on Tuesday stated that the then BRS govt had accepted applications related to Sadabainamas, but the 2020 Record of Rights (ROR) Act did not provide a resolution path. The issue was addressed in the Bhu Bharati Act, but requiring affidavits from both the buyer and seller created field-level problems. Considering these, it was decided to obtain an affidavit only from the buyer, and GO 76 was issued accordingly. He mentioned that over nine lakh applications were pending in the state, and all of them would be resolved. He said a pilot resurvey was conducted in five of 413 villages without maps, where each survey number was assigned a Bhu Aadhaar similar to an Aadhaar number. It was decided to conduct land surveys in 70 villages in each of the 32 districts, excluding Hyderabad, soon. The minister said that land surveys would be conducted in phases and Bhu Aadhaar would be provided, offering a permanent solution to land issues in the state. The minister said it has come to the notice of govt that some individuals, in collusion with MeeSeva operators, misappropriated govt funds amounting to 3.99 crore using loopholes in the Dharani portal. A high-level committee investigation was ordered, and the minister announced that the misappropriated funds would be recovered from the culprits. He emphasised that no official involved, regardless of their position, would be spared. Responding to a question from another member Tata Madhusudhan, the minister criticised the midnight introduction of the Dharani portal against public opinion, which led to new land issues. He mentioned that while the Dharani portal had 40-41 modules, the Bhu Bharati portal was streamlined to six, and gradual changes were being made, with the full Bhu Bharati portal expected to be launched by April-end.
