Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday urged citizens not to buy additional domestic LPG cylinders and store them at home, as there is no shortage of domestic LPG cylinders. He also said that from Thursday, govt will increase the quota from 20% to 40% for LPG cylinders for commercial consumers.Also, reacting to the queues at fuel pumps across the state, Sawant said that there is no petrol shortage, and that the required quota of eight days is available in Goa. He said this quota will be maintained.The CM said state govt is in continuous touch with central govt over the fuel issue, and that within eight days, all issues related to LPG will be resolved. He also said that state govt is monitoring LPG supply for domestic purposes and once a cylinder is booked, it will be delivered within 15 days.“We are maintaining the supply of domestic LPG cylinders for consumers,” said Sawant, adding that 20% LPG cylinders have been provided to commercial consumers, and that an additional 20% LPG cylinders will be made available for them (commercial customers).Sawant also urged commercial consumers to opt for PNG supply.
