T’puram: The general education department will establish a unified dashboard with a single sign-on facility, giving schools access to key online education applications through one platform. The initiative, named Tharapadham, is part of the state govt’s 100-day action plan and will be implemented through Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE).The dashboard will be linked to Sampoorna online school management system. Once logged in through the single sign-on facility, schools will be able to access major applications, including Sampoorna, Samagra and Sahitham, without logging into each system separately.Tharapadham project involves the modernisation and integration of the existing education platforms, with AI features. For the first time, comprehensive data related to all schools in the state – including CBSE and ICSE schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas and recognised unaided schools – will be included in Sampoorna portal.The upgraded Sampoorna Plus portal will record student attendance, exam scores and other academic details for Classes I-XII. It will also include the assessment of co-curricular activities. Samagra Plus portal will provide digital learning resources for Classes I-XII and facilitate the preparation and submission of teaching manuals for Classes I-X.Sahitham mentoring portal has been updated with indicators based on the revised curriculum. Mentoring activities for students in Classes I-VII will be carried out through the portal using the details of the current academic year. The project also includes the implementation of cyber security protocol-2026 in schools. Headteachers have been instructed to ensure the formation of cyber security committees and compliance with the protocol.The department also directed education officers to undergo special training organised by KITE and monitor the time-bound implementation of the project. A circular in this regard was issued by the director of general education.
