Kanpur: Five Kanwariyas were injured in a road mishap near Etawahon the Agra-Lucknow expressway on Monday. Their van collided with a truck, resulting in severe injuries to the passengers. The incident occurred while the kanwariyas were travelling from Chaupula to Jaswantnagar on their pilgrimage. The injured were immediately taken to Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences in Saifai for treatment. The accident happened at 5:00am on Monday near village Bani Hardu, under the jurisdiction of Chaubia police station, on the Agra-Lucknow expressway. According to reports, the van rammed into the truck from behind when the truck suddenly applied brakes, injuring the driver and four others.The driver, Brijmohan, is critically injured, while the others sustained injuries. After the accident, the driver was trapped inside the van. Cops arrived at the scene and managed to evacuate the driver from the car after much effort.
