Rajkot: Gold jewellery and cash worth Rs 7.4 lakh were stolen from a farmer’s house at Muktupur village in Mangrol taluka of Junagadh, late on Monday night, while the family were away at a wedding.According to Mangrol Marine police, the house belongs to 42-year-old Batuksinh Chudasama. “An intruder broke the latch on the door to gain entry. On returning late at night, the family found the door open. A cupboard had been opened and 80g of gold jewellery and Rs 1,800 in cash were missing,” a police official said.Chudasama lodged a complaint at Mangrol Marine police station under Sections 305(A) and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against the unknown thief.
