Actor Kartik Aaryan, who recently suffered a knee injury while shooting an action sequence for Kabir Khan’s upcoming sports drama, has undergone surgery and is now recovering at home, his team informed on Saturday. The actor is expected to resume shooting soon.
Kartik underwent knee surgery at a hospital in Mumbai. His spokesperson said in a statement, “Kartik Aaryan sustained a knee injury while performing an action sequence on the set of his film. His surgery was completed successfully, and he is now back home, resting and recovering. He will be back on set soon.” The film also marks Kartik’s debut as a producer under his banner.
Meanwhile, buzz doing the rounds was the film’s schedule had to be postponed because of the unexpected setback. Kabir when contacted dismissed the rumours. He told us, “All this is wrong news. There’s no change in our schedule, we are on track.” The incident reportedly took place during the final two days of filming, when the team was shooting several important action sequences. Aaryan was immediately taken to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim for medical attention. However, Kabir clarifies, “Our shoot is already over.”
