Gumla: The administration has rolled out a four-day special practice session ending on Feb 28 to prepare students for the upcoming Class 8 board exams to be conducted by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC). It will cover 17,254 examinees from 543 middle schools in the district. The examinations will start on March 2 in two shifts.District Superintendent of Education (DSE) Noor Alam Khan said, “A core team of expert teachers prepared probable questions covering the entire syllabus of each subject. These questions were uploaded to a designated Google link. All schools were directed to conduct intensive practice sessions based on these materials to ensure uniform and quality preparation across the district.”

Dildar Singh, an official of the education department, said, “Syllabus-based tests of two subjects are being conducted each day from Feb 25 to 28. The first shift is being focused on intensive practice of difficult subjects such as mathematics, science, and English. After the mid-day meal, the second shift will cover subjects including Hindi, Sanskrit, and social science.”He added that a revision session will also be organised along with error analysis, practical practice of filling OMR sheets, and motivational sessions on March 28.Gumla DC Prerna Dixit said, “It aims to ensure comprehensive syllabus revision and exam-oriented preparations, as it would make a strong foundation for higher classes.”
