Prayagraj: A 62-year-old woman, identified as Kastura Devi, was found murdered near her house in Babura village under the limits of Manda police station in trans Yamuna pocket of the district on Sunday morning. After having dinner, the elderly woman went for sleep outside her house and her body was found lying on sunday morning. The incident came to fore when her 16-year-old grand-daughter went to wake her up, and instead found her dead. Upon being alerted, senior cops along with forensic experts rushed the spot and carried out investigations. Initial police investigations revealed strangulation as cause of death. Family members told police that elderly woman was threatened by some unknown persons about a month ago to vacate the house over a property dispute. The body has been sent for postmortem.
