Hyderabad: An elderly couple from Dubbaka town in Siddipet district lodged a complaint against their sons, alleging continuous harassment and death threats, prompting police intervention on Sunday.According to Dubbaka CI T Rajesh, the complainants, Kanakaiah and Rajavva, have three sons — Naresh, Swami, and Ellam — and a daughter, Kavitha, along with a house and six acres of agricultural land. The couple alleged that their second and third sons, Swami and Ellam, frequently consumed alcohol, verbally abused them, and threatened to kill them if they did not leave the house. Despite earlier police counselling in a similar incident, the behaviour continued.Unable to bear the harassment, the couple left their home and stayed on the streets in Siddipet for four days. Two days ago, they approached the commissioner’s office seeking protection.Acting on the directions of commissioner Rashmi Perumal, police summoned the parents and the accused sons to the Dubbaka circle office, where counselling was conducted.The couple was later sent back home, and the sons were warned of strict action. Police have registered a case against the three sons and the daughter and are investigating further.
