Jammu, July 7: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar on Tuesday conducted a first-hand review of the facilities and arrangements put in place for pilgrims undertaking the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 at key locations in Ramban and Udhampur districts.

During his visit to the yatra camp at Chanderkote in Ramban, the Divisional Commissioner inspected the arrangements made for pilgrims and assessed the availability of essential facilities. He also visited various langar sites and lodgement centres in Udhampur to review preparedness for the upcoming pilgrimage.

While interacting with officials, the Divisional Commissioner directed the district administrations to ensure uninterrupted availability of essential services at all lodgement centres and langar sites throughout the yatra period.

He stressed the importance of maintaining cleanliness, ensuring timely delivery of services, and strengthening coordination among departments and stakeholders involved in the yatra arrangements. He said that effective planning and monitoring were essential to ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage experience for devotees.

The concerned officials briefed the Divisional Commissioner about the facilities being arranged for pilgrims, including accommodation, sanitation, medical support and other essential services.
