Srinagar, July 7 The Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday held an organisational meeting of its District Kulgam unit at the party headquarters in Srinagar to review organisational affairs and formulate strategies for strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
The meeting was chaired by the party’s General Secretary (Organisation), Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, and was attended by General Secretary Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Additional General Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, District President Kulgam Wani Zafrullah, Constituency In-charge D.H. Pora Gulzar Ahmad Dar, besides other senior party leaders and functionaries.
During the meeting, participants held detailed deliberations on the prevailing political situation and discussed measures to further strengthen the organisational structure across all blocks and constituencies of District Kulgam. Emphasis was laid on ensuring better coordination among party workers and office bearers to enhance the party’s outreach at the grassroots level.
The leadership stressed the need for regular interaction with the public to understand and address the issues confronting the people. Party functionaries were urged to remain actively engaged with the masses and intensify public outreach programmes to strengthen the PDP’s presence across the district.
Addressing the meeting, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura called upon party leaders and workers to work with dedication and unity to reinforce the organisation. He highlighted the importance of strengthening booth-level committees and ensuring that the concerns of the people are effectively conveyed to the party leadership.
Other speakers also underlined the significance of organisational discipline, teamwork and sustained public engagement in further consolidating the party’s base in Kulgam. They reaffirmed the PDP’s commitment to serving the people and addressing their aspirations through democratic means.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to intensify organisational activities, expand grassroots outreach, and work collectively to strengthen the party across District Kulgam.
