Mysuru: Additional deputy commissioner R Aishwarya has directed officials to ensure the smooth and error-free conduct of the NEET examination across the district.Chairing a preparatory meeting at the DC’s office, she said the examination will be held on May 3 at 17 centres across Mysuru, with 7,711 candidates expected to appear.She said two coordinators, 20 chief superintendents and a seven-member flying squad team have been deployed to oversee the examination. She instructed officials to ensure that frisking procedures strictly adhere to the Govt of India guidelines.The examination will be conducted at several institutions, including Karnataka State Open University, the University of Mysore School of Engineering, the Regional Institute of Education, Mysuru, Maharani’s Women’s Commerce College and Kendriya Vidyalaya PM Shri, among other govt colleges in the city.NEET coordinator NR Srinath said the examination will be held from 2pm to 5pm. Biometric verification will begin at 11am, and candidates will be allowed entry only until 1.30pm. No candidate will be permitted to enter after the deadline.He also advised candidates to strictly follow the instructions mentioned on their admit cards.Another coordinator, Mithilesh Kumar, and other officials attended the meeting.
