Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Friday denied that he underwent an “angioplasty procedure” at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune. “I did not undergo any angioplasty procedure. It was a routine medical checkup. All my parameters are normal and I have been discharged,” Sawant told TOI from Pune.He said that he is at present with his family. “I want to tell my well-wishers, supporters, and friends in the media that all my reports are normal. I’ll be back in Goa in a day and start routine work,” he said. Late on Thursday, Ruby Hall Clinic issued a statement that Sawant was admitted to the hospital “successfully underwent an angioplasty procedure”.“The intervention was completed without complications, and his condition is currently stable. He is recovering well and remains under close observation,” said Dr Purvez Grant, chief cardiologist, chairman, and managing trustee of the hospital, in the statement.On Friday morning, the hospital clarified that Sawant had undergone only a “routine checkup and has been discharged”.
