Dhanbad: A massive fire broke out following a cylinder blast in a house near the Bastacola Mines Rescue Station under Jharia police station in Dhanbad on Sunday, destroying property worth lakhs of rupees.The house owner was also seriously injured in the incident, police sources said.According to reports, the incident occurred after a gas cylinder exploded inside the house, triggering a fierce blaze. The fire spread rapidly and soon engulfed a sofa warehouse located on the ground floor of the building. Within minutes, the flames intensified, turning into a massive inferno and reducing furniture and other valuables to ashes.House owner Raju Agrawal sustained severe burn injuries in the incident. Another person was also reported to have been injured, though detailed information about his condition was yet to be confirmed.Local resident Dashrath Yadav said that an Indian cooking gas agency and its storage facility were located just a few steps away from the site of the incident, which created panic among residents in the surrounding area.Soon after receiving the information, the Mines Rescue team and local residents rushed to the spot to assist in controlling the situation.
