Bokaro: Police arrested two more accused from Karnataka and Gujarat in connection with the attempted armed robbery at a jewellery showroom at City Centre under Sector-4 police station in Bokaro.The incident occurred on Jan 11, 2026, when criminals allegedly tried to loot the showroom at gunpoint, but failed. With the latest arrests, the total number of accused nabbed in the case rose to four. Earlier, Prince Kumar and Shamshad were arrested on Feb 3.Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh said, “A special team led by DSP City Alok Ranjan traced the accused using technical and human intelligence. Acting on leads, police arrested Shubham Kumar from Surat in Gujarat and Pankaj Kumar from Bengaluru in Karnataka on March 2. Both were brought to Bokaro on transit remand for further investigation.”The SP said that during interrogation, the duo confessed to their involvement in the attempted robbery at the showroom. Based on their disclosure, police recovered two country-made pistols, four live cartridges, and a motorcycle allegedly used in the crime.The arrested accused, Shubham Kumar (22) and Pankaj Kumar (26), are residents of Cheria Bariarpur in Begusarai district of Bihar. Police said both have a criminal history, with multiple cases registered against them, including extortion and violations under the Arms Act. Further investigation in the case is underway.
