Hubballi: Deputy commissioner Snehal R inspected the ongoing construction work of the Chennamma Circle flyover, along with MLA Mahesh Tenginakai, on Wednesday in Hubballi.Speaking to reporters, Snehal R said the flyover work is progressing, and plans are made to complete the work in the next 6 months. She said the officials concerned said that the work would be carried out at a fast pace at Hosur Circle and Chennamma Circle.
She also said many problems arose during the work in the city, and all those problems needed to be resolved before the work continued. She said, “If the work is not completed in the next six months, action will be taken to blacklist the contractor.”MLA Mahesh Tenginakai said the work of installing four pillars at Hosur Circle is nearing completion. He said the work carried out without causing any traffic problems, and added that a meeting would be held next week, with the officials, and steps would be taken to complete the work at the earliest.He said the 2-3 months delay in the flyover work was discussed, but since the chief minister’s programmes were going on in the district, the focus shifted from the flyover work. Work was however, completed in the areas that caused inconvenience to the public.MLA said the work on Gadag Road gained momentum after the police station was shifted and it was decided to complete the flyover work at the earliest. He said priority was given to making the city dust-free, and steps would be taken to construct a CC road.
