Kanpur: A constable got injured after he fell down from the first floor of the Superintendent of Police’s office on Thursday. Police staff rushed him to Akbarpur Medical College, where he is undergoing treatment.The constable, Ankit Deshwal, stationed at Mati Police Line, had accompanied his father to the Superintendent of Police’s office on Thursday for some official work. Around noon, he was standing near the CO office on the first floor when he fell down.About 16 hours before the incident, Ankit had allegedly shared a post on the social media platform X where he wrote, “You people are pushing me to the point of suicide. Aren’t officers supposed to deliver justice?” In the post, he had tagged Kanpur Dehat Police along with several senior police officials.ASP Alok Prasad stated that Ankit, a 2020-batch constable and a native of Firozabad, lives with his father at Police Line Mati. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the fall. The ASP said that Ankit fell while leaning over from the roof.Doctors said that, Ankit suffered fractures in one arm and one leg.
