Gandhinagar: The state unit of the Congress party on Sunday announced the names of 243 candidates for the municipal corporation elections of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar and Morbi.Candidates have been announced for 33 wards of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) in the first list that the party declared on Sunday. Elections for 15 municipal corporations, 84 municipalities, 34 district panchayats and 260 taluka panchayats will be held between 7am and 6pm on April 26, and counting of votes will be taken up on April 28.
