CM Samrat Choudhary at a review meeting

Patna: CM SamratChoudhary on Saturday reviewed preparations for the ‘SevaSankalpAbhiyan’ (Sept 17 to Oct 17) and the ‘SevaSankalpevamKayakalpAbhiyan’ (Sept 17 to March 31, 2027) at Samvad Hall at the chief minister’s secretariat.Addressing ministers and senior officials, Choudhary said the ‘SevaMeraYogdan’ initiative should ensure public participation in cleanliness, development and beautification activities at a minimum of two locations in every assembly constituency. He said the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, based on 13 themes, would feature several major public programmes requiring coordinated efforts by all departments.The CM stressed greater outreach under the ‘AshirvadkaDiya’ programme and directed officials to take information about central welfare schemes and development initiatives to the people. He said around 50lakhbeneficiariesinBihar had received pucca houses under the PradhanMantriAwasYojana during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure.Choudhary also directed ministers and officials to ensure timely execution of programmes planned under the Seva Sankalp evam Kayakalp Abhiyan. He asked ministers in charge of districts to prepare a 30-dayprogrammecalendar in consultation with district magistrates through meetings or video conferences.Earlier, chief secretary PratyayaAmrit presented an overview of preparations and said 13 major programmes would be organised between Sept 17 and Oct 17. Under the Ashirvad ka Diya programme, a statewide Deepotsav will be held on Sept 17 from the district to booth level. Other initiatives include school-level painting and speech competitions under ‘SevaKshetra’, awareness drives through music and street plays under ‘SevaSmaran’, and activities at Anganwadi centres under ‘AngankaMilan’.
