Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated a new five-storey Vidhan Parishad guest house, featuring 30 suite rooms, lounges, and a lift. He also opened a canteen, library, and community centre, all built for Vidhan Parishad members. Kumar inspected the facilities, expressing satisfaction with the construction and its benefits for legislators.

Patna: CM Nitish Kumar on Monday inaugurated a five-storey Vidhan Parishad guest house, built under the legislators’ housing project, by unveiling the foundation plaque and cutting the ribbons.The guest house has 30 suite rooms, four lounges and a security lounge. A lift with a capacity of eight persons has also been installed in the building. Each suite room has a small kitchen, a drawing room and a restroom with a toilet.The CM also inaugurated the canteen and library building as well as the community centre. “The canteen and library building is a two-storey building. One section houses the canteen and the other houses the library. On the ground floor and first floor of the canteen, a dining hall, kitchen, restroom, pantry, store, service area and toilet have been constructed. On the ground floor of the library, an office room, library and toilet have been constructed. On the first floor of the library, a reading hall, lobby and store have been constructed,” a communique issued from the chief minister’s office (CMO) said.“The community centre is a two-storey building. On its ground floor and first floor, a hall, store, kitchen, lobby and toilet have been constructed,” the CMO said.All these facilities have been built for the members of the Vidhan Parishad, an official said.After the inauguration, Nitish inspected the newly constructed guest house and took stock of the facilities and arrangements being provided there. He also visited the first floor and the terrace and examined various sections of the guest house. “The guest house has been constructed very well. The members of the Vidhan Parishad will benefit from the facilities available here,” Nitish said.The programme was attended by both deputy CMs Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha; chairman of legislative council Awdhesh Narayan Singh; Speaker of legislative assembly Prem Kumar; water resources minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary; road construction minister Dilip Kumar Jaiswal; rural development minister Shravan Kumar; rural works minister Ashok Chaudhary; deputy chairman of legislative council Ram Vachan Ray, along with MLCs and other public representatives.
