Kanpur: A special cleanliness drive was conducted at selected govt schools across every Nyaya Panchayat in the district on Sunday.District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh directed the officials to constitute teams of sanitation workers, and prepare rosters to ensure regular cleaning of all other govt schools across the district.“Regular cleaning of every school campus will be ensured, and continuous monitoring will also be carried out. Negligence regarding school cleanliness at any level will not be tolerated,” DM said.During the campaign, overgrown grass and bushes within the school premises were cleared, and the collected waste was disposed of. Arrangements were also made to drain water from areas where it had accumulated.Responsibilities were assigned to all block development officers, assistant development officers (Panchayat), block education officers, and child development project officers during the campaign conducted under the supervision of chief development officer Abhinav J. Jain.A call center was established at the Vikas Bhawan to oversee the sanitation drive and monitor the campaign’s implementation across various schools in the district.
