Kanpur: A minor studentdies by suicide in Panki police station area on Wednesday night. Before jumping before the train, the student wrote a suicide note accusing another minor from the area of blackmailing. Family members said that the boy was a high school student at a private school and used to take coaching from a teacher in the area. They said he left home for coaching at 9pm on Wednesday. When he did not reach the coaching, the teacher informed the family.
During the search, family members found a suicide note in his sister’s iPad cover. According to the family, it stated that a minor student living in the area was blackmailing him. Disturbed by this, he ended his life. The family immediately informed Kakadeo police and searched for the student throughout the night.On Thursday morning, when the family reached the post-mortem house, they learned that the 17-year-old jumped in front of a train in Panki.The grieving family members said a programme was held at the student’s school in Jan, where he took a photo with a female student and posted it on social media. It was alleged that a minor student from the area threatened to show the photo to the family of the female student and harassed him over the issue after which the boy took his life.Kakadeo inspector Rajesh Kumar Sharma said, “Action will be taken after registering a report upon receiving the complaint.”
