On September 17, Paswan, along with Union minister Rajnath Singh, was in Varanasi to flag off a bike rally from Varanasi to Vadnagar in Gujarat. His party leaders feel his popularity among youth and the SC community can be capitalised on by the NDA alliance.

“The right to decide on alliance is reserved with our national president Chirag Paswan. But if there is an alliance, we will work for victory of the alliance along with our candidates. The SC/ST people of UP and Punjab are looking for a credible face, and they have hopes with Chirag Paswan,” Dhirendra Kumar Munna, LJP(R) general secretary, told ET.
The party is aiming to get a share of non-Jatav Dalit votes in UP and a section of Dalit votes in Punjab.

Paswan is soon starting his youth dialogue programme from Patna on September 24. The programme has been named ‘Youth Bole To‘, where he would interact with the youth to find solutions to their problems.
