Singh did not attend the party meeting in Patna on Friday and said he was against Kumar. Singh accused Kumar of planting an AK-47 rifle at his home and getting him arrested in 2019, when he was not part of the NDA.
Singh said he would work hard to defeat Kumar and announced his support for independent candidate Anuj Singh. Kumar, on the other hand, said Singh should produce evidence for his accusations.
Both Singh and Kumar belong to the Bhumihar community, which has a significant vote presence in the constituency. Kumar said a person with a criminal background would not lead society and that he was sure to win the election despite Singh’s opposition.
