Pune: The Wakad police on Thursday registered a case against a Tathawade school’s authorities and principal for the death of its security guard.Security guard Sanjay Kamble suffered severe injuries after the private, English-medium school’s main gate collapsed on him on July 31. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment on Aug 2. The Wakad police registered a case of causing death by negligence.An officer from the Wakad police said a preliminary investigation revealed that the school’s main gate had not been installed or maintained properly, leading to the fatal accident. “We have registered the case. Our investigation is on,” the officer said.
