Mapusa: Mapusa police issued notices to four individuals and summoned them for interrogation linked to a violent clash during Holi celebration at Bodgini on March 4. According to an FIR, the victim Shaurya Mayekar, and his friends were attacked with beer bottles after the four persons engaged in a verbal spat.The notices were issued to Vitthal Suresh Kudnekar, Mallikarjun Lakhan Hosagouda, Syed Rafiq Bhandari, and Nitesh Vijay Karapurkar.Five people, including a young woman, sustained injuries and were treated at the North Goa district hospital.Beyond the physical assault, the victims reported significant property loss. One of the complainants, Krish Navelkar, alleged his gold chain, valued at Rs 2 lakh, was snatched during the melee, while another victim, Nikita Carvalho, reported a loss of Rs 35,000. An all-terrain vehicle parked at the venue was also reportedly vandalised. While police initially detained and released the four individuals after finding no evidence of their involvement, the probe has now shifted toward them. PSI Babalo Parab is leading investigation
